We are delighted to announce that Optima Training is this year a finalist in two of the categories for the Newark Business Awards.Jo Small, our Education Director, is a finalist in the category of Business Person of the Year. Jo was put forward for this category due to her work in helping to grow Optima during the recession. She secured a number of important national commercial contracts and retained education consultancy work when funding for such activity was significantly reduced due to government austerity measures.
Optima Training is a finalist in the category of Innovation Through Technology. This nomination is for the creative use of available technology to develop speaking skills and the enhancement of flexible language training using the online client resource area.
This is the third consecutive year that Optima Training has made it to the finals of the Newark Business Awards. We are hoping for a repeat of 2009, when we were awarded Business Commitment to the Community, which gave Jo the opportunity to meet Nick Hewer.
Congratulations to all the other finalists. The Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday November 29th at Kelham Hall.
