Optima Training offer all levels of English language courses. If you have just moved to the UK or want to improve your English for work, we can optimise your potential.

Although most of our business clients prefer to learn during the working day, we are able to provide language development programmes either before or after office hours - and even at the weekends.

Our trainers work around your schedules, not the other way round, at a time to suit you.

Learn English - Conversational Skills

Our Conversational Skills programmes are aimed at learners already at an intermediate level of ability - you will already be able to have basic conversations in English.

The sessions make use of a range of interactive materials to stimulate discussion and learning, whilst getting you used to hearing a range of regional accents. They are ideal for anyone that wants to 'keep their language skills up' and increase day-to-day vocabulary.

Learn English - Tailored Courses

Whatever your current level, we can design a course that meets your specific needs. You tell us what you want to achieve and we will help you get there, with a course that takes into account your own learning needs.

We currently run weekly courses for several companies located in the East of England. Groups from 2 to 8 students learn a mixture of social and business English for 1.5 - 2 hours each week. The trainers use a mixture of our own resources, worksheets, audio material and videos.

The courses are flexible so that if learners go on business trips or attend meetings, the lesson times can be changed.

English - Business Language Boost

Several clients choose our modular approach to language learning. The Business Language Boost programme offers single day sessions that target very specific language skills and business objectives.

We offer specialised courses for - attending job interviews, giving presentations, attending trade fairs, making sales visits abroad, dealing with visitors etc.

English - Intensive Culture Experience

Castles, cathedrals, country houses and heritage parks provide the learning environments, whilst a balance of social activity and individual tuition ensures that the experience is both fun and rewarding.

A learning leader will act as your guide and tutor during the experience who will be a qualified trainer with local knowledge of the area. The experience itself is flexible and the level of intensity of learning is up to you, but we recommend around 5 hours language training per day including a working lunch with your learning leader.

The learning experience includes a number of day trips such as a shopping trip to London, a visit to Sherwood Forest and the nearby National Trust park of Clumber, or a boat ride along the River Trent past the historic castle of Newark. You will also have the opportunity to spend a number of evenings with your learning leader to practice your social skills whilst enjoying local food and drink.
