Language Training
"Three weeks ago I did not have the confidence to speak English in public. This experience has enabled me to speak with confidence at our UK Directors Meeting..... it has honestly changed my life." M.P., Managing Director
Intensive Culture Experience
The Intensive Culture Experience is a programme offered over one, two or three weeks that delivers just that - a totally immersive learning experience within your target culture.
The courses are available for those wishing to fully experience the culture of the target language, where you will be trained by an experienced tutor with local knowledge. Courses are tailored to your needs but we recommend 4 - 5 hours of teaching per day in order to make quick progress.
Immerse yourself in a language whilst enjoying local food, wine, music and places of interest.
How is Learning Delivered?
Training is interactive and dynamic, using a combination of tailored material presentations, one-to-one sessions and role-plays with your learning leader. A large part of the experience comes from situational learning in real social environments i.e. in restaurants, shops, etc.
By reducing the level of support offered in social situations by the learning leader, you quickly gain confidence and ability to speak in the target language.
How Long Does it Take?
The experience is offered over one, two or three weeks and is fully tailored to your individual learning requirements. Whilst there will be a focus on training delivery, we want to ensure that this experience is also fun, and a strong emphasis on language elements blended with social aspects of the culture makes for a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Case Study: Crash Course in Business English
M.P. runs a successful factory in Switzerland. Already fluent in German and French, she wanted to improve her English for an important Board meeting of all the group directors held in Nottingham, England.
M.P. signed up for a three weeks intensive course tailored specifically to her needs. The learning plan focused on business etiquette and industry specific language, mixing in general language skills to build confidence and ability. Social events in the evening gave an opportunity to test her new conversational skills, whilst an arranged visit to a local factory gave an opportunity to practice the business language in a real industrial environment.
The meeting was a complete success - she met all of her personal objectives. M.P. now says that the experience opened her eyes to new possibilities and has had a real impact on her life in more ways than she had imaged before starting the course.
