The Lincolnshire & Rutland Education Business Partnership is organising three seminars which will be hosted by language colleges in Lincoln, Holbeach and Horncastle. Each will invite local Primary Schools in to explore the subject of languages and motivating students in that direction. Each seminar will be from 4pm to 6pm.
The seminars will have fairly informal agendas. The focus will be on the ways in which languages can support primary schools with community cohesion and how languages can help pupils to develop in readiness for secondary school.
Optima Training’s Jo Small will be supporting the Lincoln event on 2nd February in her capacity as a Business Language Champion. It will take place at Lincoln Christ's Hospital School where she will spend time talking with teachers about how useful languages have been in her career and giving some interesting advice and guidance that will help the teachers when they go back to their schools.
If you are not able to attend the Lincoln event, there will also be seminars on the 3rd February at Horncastle College and 11th February at the Holbeach campus of the University of Lincoln.
