Education Services

Past Projects Include:
We have successfully completed a number of Skills for Life projects working with a range of providers, including:
Skills for Life Strategy
During the first phase of the Skills for Life strategy implementation, we worked with a commercial provider on the initial development of the provision of teacher training in diagnostic assessment and use of Skills for Life learning materials.
Skills for Life
We have been involved with a number of government initiatives to improve the level of skills within the workforce, and have played a part in the development of both learner and support materials, as well as quality assurance processes. This puts us in an ideal place to review the provision of Skills for Life support within your centre, and work with you to ensure that the quality of provision is maximised.
Areas of support provided
We specialise in the provision of Skills for Life in the following areas:
Teaching and Learning Reviews
We conduct audits of existing provision within FE Colleges, adult learning centres and work-based learning providers in order to identify improvement areas. Our feedback report is normally accompanied by an action plan and a programme of support for effective implementation.
Quality Assurance Processes
Optima has a strong track record in the development of quality assurance processes for the delivery of Skills for Life. Flow charting techniques ensure a clear vision of the current state, and we work closely with your delivery and management teams to develop a consistent approach that is fit for purpose.
Strategy Development
We will work with your senior management team to develop a whole organisation approach to Skills for Life. Once the strategy has been developed, we are able to work with your delivery teams to secure buy-in and facilitate change.
All work is undertaken in strictest confidence.
Who is involved?
All of our Skills for Life projects are undertaken by our Education Director, Jo Small. She has built a strong reputation in this field as a result of successfully providing support for a range of education providers throughout the UK.
What does it cost?
The costs involved will depend on the level of input required. However, we will not do anything that has not been agreed with you beforehand. Before we begin working with you, we will undertake an initial consultation before submitting a full proposal that details all of our fees.
How do we get started?
Before accepting any new project, we need to understand your requirements. The initial consultation is free, so contact us today to find out how we can help you.
